Introducing the new Deputy Leaders

I would like to announce my selection of Deputy Leaders; Thana Boonlert and Brian Deheer.

Thana Boonlert is no stranger to politics in Alberta. He was the GPA candidate in the 2016 By-Election in Calgary-Greenway and the GPC candidate in the 2015 General Election in Calgary Centre. He was also the Poverty and Homelessness critic for GPA’s Shadow Cabinet in 2017 and is currently the GPC’s Alberta Representative on Federal Council.

Thana’s educational background is in Environmental Engineering. His career experiences include quantifying air emissions in the oil and gas industry, air quality science/engineering, environmental compliance, and storm water engineering.

Brian Deheer ran as GPA candidate in 2015 in Lac La Biche-St. Paul-Two Hills, he also ran as candidate in federal by-election in 2014, and in the federal general election in 2015.

Brian is a member of the Athabasca Watershed Council Board since 2014, serving as Board Chair since 2015; a board member of Keepers of the Athabasca Watershed Society (KAWS) since 2012. KAWS works with First Peoples to address watershed/environmental and indigenous rights issues. Brian is also a member of Lac La Biche County Environmental Stewardship Advisory Committee (2012-2015) and a member of Northern CARE (Community Action for Recycling Enterprises, later Alberta CARE) in the 1990s.

Yours Truly,

Romy S. Tittel
